In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Criminal Misc. No. M-5784 of 2019 Date of Decision: 07.02.2019 Jagjit Singh ... Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Shekher Dhawan.

Present:

Mr. Sunny K. Singla, Advocate for the petitioner(s).

Shekher Dhawan, J.

Present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for seeking pre-arrest bail to the petitioner(s) in case General Diary No. 42 in FIR No. 73 dated 20.08.2018, registered under Section(s) 323 & 324 IPC (Section 307 IPC was mentioned wrongly) at Police Station Sandaur, District Sangrur. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that it is a case of version and cross-version and here is delay of one day in reporting the matter to the police.

Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner had allegedly caused injuries to the injured with sword and he would be required for effective investigation. As such, no case is made out to grant the concession of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner and present petition stands dismissed. (Shekher Dhawan) Judge February 07, 2019 "DK"
