(ORAL) The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent-authorities to consider and decide the first appeal filed by him on 13/14.01.2022 (Annexure P-5) before respondent No. 2. Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab submits that the appeal is now fixed for 03.03.2022 and the respondentauthorities shall make all efforts to take up the same on that date and decide it within two - three weeks thereafter.

In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned State counsel, we do not find any reason to entertain the present writ petition which is accordingly disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and, therefore, the authorities would be at liberty to examine the matter keeping all facts and facets into consideration and thereafter accept or reject the same in accordance with law.
