The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondent to grant deemed date of appointment as Constable. The petitioners claim that they joined Punjab Police as SPOs in 1992. They were absorbed as Constables during October' to December' 1997. Their juniors were appointed as Constables prior to their date of appointment. 2.

As per reply, the petitioners were part of District Moga and there is no SPO who was junior to them and was appointed as Constable prior to their appointment as Constable.

Learned State counsel submits that as per his instructions petitioner No.1 has passed away and others have been extended deemed date of appointment as Constable. The grievance of the petitioners stands DEEPAK BISSYAN 2025.09.02 17:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
