Dated Police StaƟon SecƟons 30.04.2021 Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar 7, 7-A of PrevenƟon of CorrupƟon Act as amended by PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 read with SecƟon 120-B IPC 1.
Seeking quashing of above capƟoned FIR, the accused had come up before this Court on the ground that no case is made out against him. 2.
State counsel on instrucƟons submits that the invesƟgaƟon is almost complete except voice sample of the peƟƟoners is yet to be taken and it is the peƟƟoners, who are delaying the invesƟgaƟon by not cooperaƟng with the InvesƟgator by not giving their voice samples.

Since, the invesƟgaƟon is not complete, the present peƟƟon for quashing of FIR is pre-mature. Since, the peƟƟoners' stand is that the FIR was false and frivolous, then they must cooperate with the InvesƟgator by giving their voice samples. It is clarified that the State to take all steps to ensure that the invesƟgaƟon is completed within three months from the date of giving of voice samples by the peƟƟoners. It means that State should either file a closure report or launch prosecuƟon within aforesaid period of three months.

Given above, the present peƟƟon is disposed of. Liberty reserved to the peƟƟoners to come to this Court again, in case, State choose to launch prosecuƟon against them.
