Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to prepare and issue seniority list of MLT Grade2 by fixing seniority on the basis of length of service in accordance with Punjab Civil Service (Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994 and promote the petitioners w.e.f. the date their juniors have been promoted along with all consequential benefits as well as interest. At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioners submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, he would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 05.08.2021 (P-5) is decided expeditiously.
