The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing respondents No.2 & 4 to ensure protection of life and liberty of petitioners and their family members at the hands of respondents No.5 to 10 and to take action on the representation dated 25.01.2022 (Annexure P-6) given by petitioner No.2 to respondent No.2.

It is contended that the petitioner No.2 made a representation dated 25.01.2022 (Annexure P-6) to respondent No.2 against private respondents alleging therein that they forcibly entered into her house and committed theft. They also gave beatings to the petitioners. However, till date, no action has been taken by the official respondents on the aforesaid representation.

In view of the above, I dispose of the instant petition by directing the official respondents to decide the representation dated 25.01.2022 (Annexure P-2) submitted by petitioner No.2 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law and provide protection to the petitioners, if the need so arise.
