Prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a direction for declaring the amendment made vide Notification dated 28.05.1997 by the Haryana General Sales Tax Third Amendment Rules 1997 so far as it omits Note 2 to Schedule III retrospectively, to be without jurisdiction and unsustainable. Further prayer has been made for quashing the orders passed by respondents No. 2 and 3 (Annexures P-3 and P-4 respectively) and for issuance of a direction to the respondents to issue eligibility certificate under the Haryana General Sales Tax Rules, 1975.

CWP No. 3041 of 1997 challenging the similar notification had been disposed of as having been rendered infructuous by this Court vide order dated 24.04.1997. As per the information given by learned State counsel that the impugned notification was being withdrawn by the SUNITA NAGPAL 2023.10.10 14:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
