The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to refund security which they had deposited for allotment of paddy. 2.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners deposited security for allotment of paddy. They have not been allotted even single M.T.material, thus, they are entitled to refund of security. She submits that case of petitioners is squarely covered by order dated 03.08.2023 of this Court passed in CWP No. 25267 of 2022 titled as "M/s Sran Rice Mills and another vs. State of Punjab and others".

This Court vide order dated 03.08.2023 passed in CWP No. 25267 of 2022 had directed the State Government to refund a sum of PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2024.02.12 06:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.3065 of 2024 -2- 2024:PHHC:019003 Rs. 1,00,000/- which was deposited by petitioners therein who were not alloted even single M.T. material.

Faced with this, Mr. Anurag Chopra expressed his inability to controvert applicability of aforesaid order to the facts of the present case. 5.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed. The State is directed to refund security to the petitioners within four weeks from today.
