is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondentUniversity to grant the petitioner the benefit of promotion under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) along with promotion to the post of Professor w.e.f. February, 2022, after duly counting the service rendered by the petitioner in Bhai Gurdas College of Law, Sangrur, w.e.f. 28.02.2007 to 21.01.2010.

The grievance of the petitioner is that as the matter was pending before the Screening Committee and the petitioner has filed a complaint against one of the Members of the Screening Committee, it was an apprehension of the petitioner that the Screening Committee will not recommend the case in favour of the petitioner.
