(ORAL) By way of the instant petition, the petitioner has approached this Court for seeking the relief of issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to reimburse his salary for the period from 29.04.2019 to 14.06.2019, as already recovered from him and he has made a further prayer to direct the respondents to sanction his Medical Leave, TA/DA, Annual Grade Increment and Transport Allowance also, while averring that he remained under treatment and therefore, he could not attend the duty during the afore-said period on account of his Renal Transplant at PGIMER, Chandigarh and the respondents are not extending the above-claimed benefits to him despite the fact that he has already moved a representation dated 16.09.2020 (Annexure P-11) to them in this regard.

Mr. N.K. Banka, DAG, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings in pursuance of the copy of this petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance, accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case a direction is issued to respondent No.1 to consider and decide his said representation (Annexure P-11), within some specific time-frame.

Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Keeping in view the above-discussed limited prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting upon the merits of the matter in hand, the instant writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1-Principal Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab, to consider and decide the said representation of the petitioner (Annexure P-11) in accordance with the relevant rules/instructions/law/policy, by passing a speaking order thereon, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
