Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release the pensionary benefits that has been wrongly withheld, which was disposed of on 14.11.2000 before the Lok Adalat, whereafter civil miscellaneous application was filed on 09.06.2006 seeking direction for grant of interest to which a counter affidavit was filed on 18.04.2007 and in para 4 thereof, it has been stated that an amount of Rs.71177/- has been sanctioned as interest on delayed payments, Annexure R-1 and a receipt thereof appended as Annexure R-2. 2.
