Prayer made in the present petition is for quashing the order dated 10.02.1993, whereby the representation for grant of selection grade of Rs.13502400 to the 50% of the posts as given to the Revenue Patwaries had been rejected. 2.
While admitting the petition on 15.12.1998, the Division Bench ordered the present case to be listed along with CWP-18889-1998, which was disposed of on 13.10.2004, in terms of LPA-906-1993 and connected appeals, vide judgment of even date.

Learned counsel also refers to the order dated 03.08.2017 passed in Civil Appeal No.454 of 2006 titled as Prem Lal and Others vs. The Secretarycum-Commissioner, Government of Punjab and Others. 4.
The aforesaid facts having been brought out, during the course of hearing, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the respondents would not be averse to have a relook at the matter and decided afresh within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not MOHIT 2025.04.29 09:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The aforesaid satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioners. 6.
The matter stands disposed of accordingly and if the petitioners are found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same may be passed after granting opportunity of hearing to them and shall contain reasons, whereupon they shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
