They have pleaded that they have married against the wishes of respondents No.5 & 6 and seek protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from respondents No.5 & 6. They have placed on record marriage certificate (Annexure P-3) evidencing their marriage. The petitioners have also submitted a representation dated 21.02.2022 (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2 but no action has been taken so far.

Ms. Ishneet Kaur, AAG, Punjab who is present in Court, accepts notice for the official respondents. Counsel for the petitioners is directed to supply a complete copy of paper book to the counsel appearing for the State during the course of day, if not supplied already. CRWP No.1683 of 2022 (O&M) -2petition with direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation of the petitioners (Annexure P-4) within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and grant them protection, if any threat to their life and liberty is perceived. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken to protect the petitioners from legal action for violation of law, if any committed by them.
