The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of letter dated 01.09.1998 (Annexure P/6) whereby respondent has framed policy for allotment of Depots. He is further seeking direction to respondents to allot him new Ration Depot. 2.

The respondent did not allot Depot to petitioner because Depot allotted to her mother was cancelled and as per letter dated 01.09.1998 issued by Director, Food and Supplies, Haryana, the family of a person would include person concerned his/her spouse, minor sons and daughters. 3.

The petitioner was denied allotment of Depot in 2000 and present petition was filed in 2001. A period of more than 20 years has passed away and at this belated stage, this Court does not find it appropriate either to set aside policy letter dated 01.09.1998 or ask the respondents to allot Depot to the petitioner.
