Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for the release of the detenue, namely, Gurpreet Kaur, 20 years old daughter of the petitioner, who has been allegedly abducted by respondent No.5. CRWP No.1878 of 2021 {2} Judicial Magistrate Ist Class on 15.04.2021 and her statement (Annexure R-1) was recorded. In her statement before the Magistrate, detenue has stated that she has married Lovepreet Singh, respondent No.5 on 12.02.2021 and is living happily with him at her matrimonial home. In view of the statement of the detenue, it cannot be said that she is in illegal confinement of the private respondent. No orders are called for.
