(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition, filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is for issuance of a direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to conduct fair and proper investigation in case FIR No.85 dated 27.10.2022, registered under Section 13 of the Public Gambling Act, 1867, at Police Station Lakhewali, District Sri Muktsar Sahib and also to call for the status report regarding investigation qua respondent No.5. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail other remedy(ies) as available to the petitioner in accordance with law.
