**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for issuance of directions to respondents to conclude a fair and impartial investigation pertaining to FIR No.162 dated 20.10.2022 under Sections 287, 337, 338 IPC registered at P.S. Lalru, District SAS Nagar.

Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. D.A.G. Punjab who appears in pursuance to advance notice informs this Court upon instructions from ASI Baljinder Singh, Police Station Lalru, District S.A.S. Nagar that the investigation in the afore-mentioned FIR shall be concluded within a period of four weeks from today with submission of final report under Section 173 CrPC before the Illaqa Magistrate.

In view thereof, nothing substantial survives to be adjudicated upon in the present petition at this stage, however, the affidavit by the Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar shall be filed in the Registry of this Court within a period of 7 days upon the expiry of four weeks as TEJWINDER SINGH 2023.02.14 18:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-7762-2023 -2prayed for by the State as regards filing of the final report before the Illaqa Magistrate and the same shall be accepted by the Registry.
