(ORAL) Petitioner herein, inter alia, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and accept her claim made vide representations dated 31.01.2022 (Annexure P-3) and 02.02.2022 (Annexure P-4), for giving her benefit of applying under BC-B category.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the applications invited online by respondent No.2-Public Health Engineering Department on 20.06.2021 for the post of Block Resource Coordinators on contract basis, the petitioner applied for the same. She appeared for the written examination and secured 43 marks out of total 100 marks. Learned counsel further submits that inadvertently, the petitioner filled up her category as `General' instead of `BC-B'. Hence, she could not get the benefit under `BC-B' category. Qua her aforesaid grievance, petitioner submitted representations dated 31.01.2022 (Annexure P-3) and 02.02.2022 (Annexure P-4) and also a legal notice dated 01.02.2022 (Annexure P-5)but to no avail. Hence, the instant petition.

Learned State counsel, on advance service, joins proceedings and states that competent authority shall take appropriate decision on the VANDANA 2022.03.01 12:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner also agrees that let a final decision is taken, either way, by the competent authority on the pending representations dated 31.01.2022 (Annexure P-3) and 02.02.2022 (Annexure P-4), giving reasons thereof.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioner as per representations dated 31.01.2022 (Annexure P-3) and 02.02.2022 (Annexure P-4) and keeping in view the contention raised in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and take a decision, in accordance with law. 7.
Let the needful be done within a period of 30 days from today. 8.
Disposed of accordingly.
