IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CRM-A-1592-MA-2018 (O&M) Date of Order:04.04.2019 Ranjit Singh ..Appellant
Versus
Jagar Singh ..Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KSHETARPAL
Present:
Mr. Ashit Malik, Advocate for the appellant.
ANIL KSHETARPAL, J(Oral) Leave to appeal has been sought under Section 378(4) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The appeal is against acquittal. On the reading of the judgment, it is apparent that the court has given cogent reasons on appreciation of evidence to pass the impugned judgment. It has been noticed that 8 persons were attributed specific role and injuries to each of them, however, only one injury i.e 3x1 cm lacerated wound over left parietal region was found. Although, learned counsel appearing for the appellant has made sincere attempt, however, could not draw attention of the court to any perversity or substantive misreading of evidence. Leave to appeal declined.
