MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The instant petition under Section 438 Cr. P.C. has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in F.I.R. No. 7 dated 18.01.2020 under Section 376 IPC and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 registered at Police Station Amloh, District Fatehgarh Sahib.
It has been contended that the instant FIR has been lodged at the instigation of the mother of the prosecutrix as there was a dispute between the parents of the prosecutrix. It has further been submitted that in fact the prosecutrix and the petitioner were in a relationship and the petitioner was still willing to get married to her but he was not aware of her being a minor. It was further contended that couple of years back a dispute had arisen between the parties on account of the same allegations but subsequently the matter was settled on the petitioner assuring the parents of RUPINDER KAUR 2020.02.14 11:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

On a perusal of the serious allegations levelled in the FIR in question, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out. Petition is dismissed.
