Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Sub Divisional Officer from amongst the Junior Engineers/ Assistant Engineers having the qualification of Degree against the posts reserved for Scheduled Caste Category.

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submitted that during the pendency of present writ petition, he has been promoted to the post of Sub Divisional Officer, therefore, his main grievance stands redressed.

In view of above, learned counsel wishes to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the respondents for ancillary relief(s).
