RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to fairly conclude the investigation of present case or to transfer the investigation of FIR No.66, dated 12.04.2022, under Sections 307, 341, 324, 201, 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Gidderbaha, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, to some independent agency with a further request to provide protection to the petitioner, as the petitioner is being harassed by private respondents no.5 to 8. Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr.Sandeep Kumar, DAG, Punjab, at the outset submits, on instructions, that investigation in the FIR is already complete. He submits that in all there are four accused in the abovementioned FIR out of which two were found juvenile, challan has been presented against them, trial is going on and charges have also been framed qua them. He further submits that rest of the two accused, i.e. respondents no.5 and 6 are declared innocent as allegations against them were not MEENU 2023.02.15 17:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

In view of the submissions made by learned State counsel, petition with regard to the prayer of the petitioner qua transfer of the investigation is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedies before the concerned Court in accordance with law. So far as prayer of the petitioner regarding granting him protection is concerned, he has already filed a representation, Annexure P-2, dated 07.12.2022, before respondent No.3, i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, and he is directed to look into same and decide it in accordance with law within a period of one month from today. Disposed of accordingly.
