(ORAL) At the outset, learned State counsel, on instructions, has vehemently opposed the prayer and submissions made by the counsel opposite for quashing of the FIR in question along with other consequent proceedings arising therefrom. It has also been submitted that petitioner-Pippal Singh Sidhu is a proclaimed offender and hence, in the circumstances, the question of the FIR being quashed against a proclaimed offender does not arise.

In the circumstances, no ground is made out to accept the prayer made in the instant petition.
