Ms. Nihar Bala, Advocate for Mr. Harmanjot Singh Gill, Advocate has filed vakalatnama on behalf of respondents, which is taken on record.

Learned counsel representing the respondents submits that the amount of compensation payable to the petitioners has been sanctioned on 28.02.2025 and the same shall be released to them within three weeks from today.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioners does not press the present petition.

However, in case the needful is not done within the aforementioned period, as per the undertaking, the petitioners would be at liberty to seek revival of the contempt petition and in that eventuality, the erring/concerned officer would be liable to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/-as cost(s) from his/her own pocket in favour of the petitioners towards litigation expenses, immediately i.e. on the first date of listing of revival application.
