(Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, quashing the appointment of respondent No.5. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to reinstate the petitioner as Head Granthi, with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1, on instructions, submits that respondent No.5 is no longer in service w.e.f. 30.11.2001. In this view of the matter, the present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
