The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is to issue a writ, direction or order in the nature of mandamus, for directing the respondents to release the salary of the petitioner alongwith interest.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is working as Food Safety Inspector since 30.04.2009. He was placed under suspension vide order dated 14.06.2023 and reinstated vide order dated 15.11.2023. Thereafter, he has been working, however, w.e.f. 01.06.2023, neither his subsistence allowance and nor his salary has been released. Now, his six months' salary has been released on 22.02.2024 but still three months salary has yet not been paid to him. He also submits that he is entitled to pay for the interest on the delayed payment of salary for which he will submit a representation which may be decided in a time bound manner.
