Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Supervisor has been processed on two occasions. However, final decision on the same has still not been taken. He would further contend that in this regard a legal notice dated 10.10.2020 (Annexure P-19) has also been sent to respondent No.3. However, neither his case has been considered nor any action/decision has been taken on the legal notice dated 10.10.2020 (Annexure P-19). Learned counsel for the petitioner would further contend that he limits his prayer in the present case and would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to take a decision/action on the legal notice dated 10.10.2020 (Annexure P-19) in a time-bound manner.

Since the matter is not being decided on merits, the service on respondent No.3 is dispensed with. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed off, without commenting upon the merits of the case, with a direction to respondent No.3 to take a decision on the legal notice dated 10.10.2020 (Annexure P-19), in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Disposed off.
