***** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the pay scale of Rs.1200-2040 to the petitioners with effect from 01.01.1986 instead of 01.05.1990. 2.

Petition was filed in the year 2000 and has been lying admitted ever since. When called out for hearing, learned counsel is unable to assist the Court for lack of instructions. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that despite attempts, to establish contact with the petitioners at the given address but was unable to do so. He pleads lack of instructions.

It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 21 years before this Court, it has been rendered infructuous and/or the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 4.

Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
