(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in a case registered vide FIR No.426, dated 28.11.2019, Police Station Division No.5, District Police Commissionerate Ludhiana, under Section 21 NDPS Act.
Vide order dated 17.2.2020, this Court while issuing notice of motion had granted interim bail and had directed the petitioner to join MOHAN SINGH 2021.09.24 16:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
- 2 - CRM-M-6914-2020 (O&M) investigation. Subsequently, the matter was not listed on account of spread of pandemic Covid-19. When the matter was taken up on 2.7.2021, the State counsel had informed that the petitioner has not joined investigation and accordingly this Court had again directed the petitioner to appear before the Investigating officer on 19.8.2021 and the matter was adjourned to 24.9.2021 i.e. today.
Today, when the matter was again taken up, learned State counsel has informed that the petitioner has still not joined investigation. In view of the aforestated position, this Court does not find any ground for grant of anticipatory bail as the petitioner despite specific direction has not joined investigation.
