This is a petition seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioners as they have married against the wishes of their parents. Ms. Rashmi Attri, AAG, Punjab appears on advance notice. She produces the statement of petitioner No. 1-Simranjeet Kaur recorded on 25.2.2021. In the statement, it has been stated that there is no threat perception to the petitioners.

In view of the statement produced, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no cause of action survives for pursuing the present petition. However, seeks liberty to approach the police authorities in case need so arises in future.
