The present revision petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to the learned Additional District Judge, Ludhiana, to dispose of Rent Appeal Nos. RA-1-2019 and RA-106-2019 in a time-bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Rent Appeal Nos. RA-1-2019 and RA-106-2019 are connected appeals and have been pending before the learned Additional District Judge, Ludhiana, for more than seven years. He further submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 72 years and is suffering from serious age-related and chronic medical ailments. In support of his contentions, he has placed on record certain medical documents along with the present petition. He further submits that the pendency of the aforesaid appeals is causing grave -1SHUBHAM 2026.03.11 15:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order
hardship, mental agony and further deterioration of the petitioner's health. He, therefore, prays for issuance of appropriate directions to the learned Additional District Judge, Ludhiana, to decide the pending appeals at the earliest.

In view of the order proposed to be passed, notice is not being issued to the respondents, as the same would delay the proceedings besides entailing additional expenses for them.

In view of the averments made in the petition, the present revision petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case. The learned Additional District Judge, Ludhiana, is directed to decide Rent Appeal Nos. RA-1-2019 and RA-106-2019 expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months. 6.
