**** KIRTI SINGH, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C./528 BNSS for issuance of directions to the learned trial Court to proceed further with the trial and hear final arguments in FIR No.135 dated 01.09.2017, registered under Sections 406 and 498-A of IPC, at Police Station City Batala, District Gurdaspur.

In compliance of the previous order dated 09.02.2026, detailed status report dated 20.03.2026 has been received from the learned trial Court. As per the same, the accused had themselves opted to lead their defence evidence in their statement recorded under Section 313 Cr.P.C., which has still not been closed. Furthermore, applications had also been filed by the petitioner before to get renewed his passport as well as seeking permission to visit abroad which are also pending. Besides, an application under Section 348 BNSS has also been initiated by the prosecution, which too is pending for reply of the accused. Therefore, the delay has been caused in the conclusion of the case, despite best ITHLESH KUMAR 2026.05.29 09:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment efforts by the Court concerned.

CRM-M-7230-2026 (O&M) -2In view of the aforesaid submissions, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
