MAIN CASE Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to regularize the services of the petitioner on the post of Beldar with effect from 31.01.1996.

Petition was admitted on 17.03.1998.

When called out for hearing, learned counsel is unable to assist the Court for lack of instructions. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that despite attempts, his office could not contact the petitioner. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 24 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same In any case, qua the grievance of the petitioner that the regularization has not been accorded with effect from the date when his juniors were regularized, he is at VANDANA 2022.05.18 10:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

liberty to file a representation before the competent authority, who shall look into the same and pass orders in accordance with law and giving reasons thereof. In order to have better assistance before passing of the aforesaid order, competent authority to give liberty to the petitioner to appear either in person or through representative. Petitioner is at liberty to cite relevant case law before the competent authority.
