(Oral) The grievance raised by the petitioner is that he has been offered appointment in Mewat cadre, ignoring his merit and preference for Rest of Haryana cadre which is arbitrary and illegal. 2.

The petitioner's result has been produced and retained on case file as Annexure 'A', a perusal whereof shows that he has secured more marks than the last selected candidate under UR PWD (HH), and has opted for Rest of Haryana cadre as first preference. Accordingly, it appears that on account of some mistake on the respondents' part the petitioner has been allocated Mewat cadre instead of Rest of Haryana, which he is entitled to as per the preference given, as also on merit.

Learned State counsel does not dispute that the petitioner herein is similarly placed as the petitioners in CWP-21958-2024 titled Priyanka Kumari and others v. State of Haryana and others, decided on 19.09.2024. PAYAL 2025.03.04 10:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view thereof, the petition stands disposed of in terms of Priyanka Kumari case ibid, by directing the Commission to correct the error/mistake in the merit list, and recommend the petitioner for appointment as TGT Sanskrit in Rest of Haryana cadre as Unreserved category candidate as per merit. The second respondent shall, thereupon, offer appointment to the petitioner, subject to his fulfilling the requisite conditions, from the date other selected candidates pursuant to the selection in question have been appointed. The directions shall be carried out by the respondents within a period of four weeks from receiving a certified copy of the order.
