-RESPONDENTS
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI
Present:
None for the petitioner.
Mr. Sanjeev Soni, Advocate, and Mr. Sarthak Soni, Advocate for the respondent(s).
*** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL) 1.
On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 10.12.2025, this Court had passed the following order:- "Ms. Pratibha Bali, AAG, Punjab, who is present in Court is directed to inform respondents no.1 and 2, regarding the pendency of the instant petition before this Court, enabling them to defend the instant petition.
Adjourned to 21.01.2026.
At this stage, it seems that the notice to PRTC has erroneously been issued, whereas, it should have been issued to the Punjab Roadways, Amritsar which is respondent no.4. Ms. Pratibha Bali, AAG, Punjab, who is present in court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.4-Punjab Roadways, and waives service.
At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner pleads no instructions from the petitioner.
Therefore, let court notice be issued to the petitioner for the date fixed."

In compliance with the directions embodied in the hereinabove extracted order, although court notice was issued to the petitioner, the same has been received back unserved with the report that the petitioner has passed away.
3.
In the absence of any representation on behalf of the petitioner today, and with no steps taken to implead the petitioner's legal representative(s), this Court is left with no alternative but to dismiss the instant writ petition for want of prosecution. 4.
Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution. However, liberty is reserved to the petitioner's legal representative(s) to file an appropriate application for revival of the instant writ petition, if the cause of action continues to exist. 5.
Pending application(s) stands disposed of accordingly. (KULDEEP TIWARI) January 21, 2026 JUDGE devinder Whether speaking/reasoned :
