in view thereof, the category under which the prayer for issuance of passport to the petitioner (minor) falls, would change, and consequently, a fresh application would be required to be submitted on behalf of the petitioner (minor).

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in view of the aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 2, he may be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh application seeking issuance of passport, duly supported by requisite information and documents. However, it is prayed that time bound directions be issued for consideration of the said application.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh application seeking issuance of passport, duly supported by requisite information and/or documents.

4.1 It goes without saying that in case any such application is submitted on behalf of the petitioner, the same shall be considered and decided by the competent authority, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date when such application is submitted. 5.
