Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 was married to respondent No.4 on 19.11.2019 but respondent No.4 and others members of his family have been harassing her right from the very inception of marriage on one pretext or the other and when the situation became unbearable, she left her matrimonial home on 10.2.2020 and went to her parental home but even her parents did not accept her, which forced her to take shelter with petitioner No.2 and other members of his family. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that respondent No.4 as well as respondents No.5 & 6 have been extending threats to the petitioners to eliminate them and although the petitioners moved a representation (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.2 for providing security but no action have been taken thereupon.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition and while bearing in mind that every citizen has a right to live securely, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Hisar to look into the matter and to dispose of representation (Annexure P-3) expeditiously in accordance with law and in case, it is found that there is any imminent threat to lives and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps warranted under the law be taken thereupon.

It is clarified that the aforesaid order is not to be treated to have conferred any kind of immunity upon the petitioners, in case, it is found that they have committed any wrong.

A copy of this order along with copy of representation (Annexure P-3) be sent to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Hisar so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
