The petitioners are seeking quashing of notifications under Section 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short-'the Act'), dated 20.08.1992 and 17.08.1993 (Annexures P-1 and P-3, respectively), on the ground that no Award was passed till 16.08.1995 i.e. within two years of the publication of the notification under Section 6 of the Act. As per reply filed by respondents No. 1 and 3, it is stated in paragraph Nos. 7 and 8 that notice of the Award was given to the petitioners on 19.08.1995 and entry was made in the Rojnamcha of the concerned Patwari and possession of the acquired land was taken on RISHU KATARIA 2022.05.27 13:28 I agree to specified portions of this document

CWP-18819-1995 -216.08.1995. Even as per Rapat No. 594 dated 26.08.1992 (Annexure R-1) notice was given to the petitioners to file their objections under Section 5A of the Act.

Since, the entry was made in the Rapat (Annexure R-1) and the petitioners have not filed any objections under Section 5A of the Act, the instant petition being meritless is dismissed. However, the petitioners shall file an application for review of this order, if any, within a period of three months.
