RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C., petitionerNarender, has prayed for grant of regular bail in case FIR No. 937 dated 21.11.2019 registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station City Model town, District Panipat.

According to prosecution, on 21.11.2019, the petitioner was apprehended with 1.5 kgs of charas without any permit or licence. Learned counsel inter alia contends that petitioner has falsely been implicated in the instant case. He is a business man. Petitioner is in custody since the date of his arrest. Conclusion of trial may take a long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining him in jail. Nothing has to be recovered from him. On the other hand, learned State counsel vehemently opposed the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner.
