       Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.01 dated 02.01.2019, registered at Police Station Division No.6, District Jalandhar, under Sections 406 and 420 IPC, Section 24 of the Immigration Act, 1983 and Section 13 of the Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Act, 2012.

Copy of status report dated 09.05.2021, by way of affidavit of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub Division Model Town, Jalandhar, filed in the Court today, is taken on record. Vide order dated 17.03.2021 passed by a Coordinate Bench, the petitioner had been granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and directed to join investigation.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 17.03.2021 granting interim bail to the petitioner, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
