Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab submits that petitioners were extended Constabulary number from the date of their eligibility and in the light of judgment of Division Bench of this Court passed in CWP- 7451 of 1996 titled as "Lal Mohd. And others vs. State of Punjab and others". The petition has rendered infructuous.

In view of the above, the instant petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to move an appropriate application within three months from today, if cause survives.
