Raj Kumar v. State Of Haryana & ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CWP No. 16636 of 1997 DATE OF DECISION: 21.04.2022 Raj Kumar
...Petitioner
Versus
State of Haryana and others
...Respondents
CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN MONGA Present:- Mr. Ishnoor Singh, Advocate for Mr. Vikram Singh, Advocate, for the petitioner.
Mr. R. K. S. Brar, Addl. AG, Haryana.
ARUN MONGA,J. (ORAL) Petition was filed in the year 1997, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to give benefit to the petitioner, who was working as Clerk, with effect from the date his juniors were promoted i.e., 01.10.1993. Petition was admitted on 11.11.1997.
On being asked to argue, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that despite various attempts he was unable to contact the petitioner on the given address and therefore, he is unable to assist this Court for lack of instructions.
. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for about 25 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same.
SHALINI BHATIA 2022.05.13 18:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document.
Even otherwise, owing to the superannuation, petitioner has already retired and in view thereof, no further indulgence and/or proceedings are required before this Court.
