CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN MONGA
Present:

Mr. R.D. Sharma, DAG, Haryana.
***** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition was filed in the year 2000, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash impugned recommendations of the committee constituted by respondent No.2. Further prayer has been made for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the over time allowance to the drivers and conductors as per the norms already fixed by the Department.
2.
Petition was admitted on 08.11.2000.
3.
When called out for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 21 years before this Court, it has been rendered infructuous and/or the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 4.
On the other hand, learned State counsel argues that another employees Union (Roadways Employees Union) had filed a similar writ petition bearing CWP No.16007 of 2000 and in view of the office order dated 30.01.2001, copy of which has been tendered in course of hearing, which is taken on record and VANDANA 2022.05.25 21:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
marked as Annexure 'A', the grievance of similarly situated employees since favourably addressed, the aforesaid writ petition was dismissed as infructuous vide order dated 24.10.2002. Accordingly, instant writ petition is also disposed of as infructuous.
5.
Disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. (ARUN MONGA) JUDGE May 24, 2022 vandana Whether speaking/reasoned:
