Tribhuvan Dahiya, J (Oral) The application bearing CM No.14264-CWP of 2024 has been filed seeking preponement of date of hearing of the main petition in the light of withdrawal of the impugned advertisement 201/2023 to 246/2023 issued by the University.

With the consent of parties, main case is taken on Board by advancing the date of hearing to today. The application stands disposed of. Main Case The petition has been filed seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the advertisement 201/2023 to 246/2023, dated 01.02.2023, Annexure P-4, qua the post of Assistant Registrar mentioned at serial no.31. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought directing the third respondentUniversity to promote the petitioner as Assistant Registrar. Learned counsel for the University contends that the petition has been rendered infructuous, since the impugned advertisement 201/2023 to 246/2023 has been withdrawn by the University vide Employment Notice, Annexure A-1. She also contends that the petitioner's case for promotion to the post of Assistant Registrar will be considered in accordance with rules, and an appropriate decision will be conveyed to him before considering any other similarly placed employee for promotion. 3.
Disposed of accordingly.
