PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 9.

As per the petitioners, they have married on 12.02.2024 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 9, who happen to be the family members/ relatives of petitioner No.1 i.e. Kiranpreet Kaur. Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Kiranpreet Kaur is 28.12.2000 born and petitioner No.2-Kawaljit Singh is 31.12.1994 Deepak Kumar 2024.02.15 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-1459-2024 -22024:PHHC:021333 Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur) to look into the representation dated 12.02.2024 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners. Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 to 9 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. The petition stands disposed off.
