The petitioner has approached this Court seeking quashing of FIR (Annexure P-1) and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.

Short reply by way of affidavit of Shri Sarvanjit Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Phillaur, District Jalandhar (Rural) has been filed by learned State counsel, which is taken on record. 3.

Learned State counsel, upon instruction from ASI Sukhdev Singh, has informed that while the challan has been presented against another set of 6 persons, whereas the petitioner has been kept in coloumn No.2. 4.

In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition filed under provisions of Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR is rendered infructuous and is disposed off as such.
