Present:

Mr. Vipin Mahajan, Advocate for the appellant.

Mr. R.K. Arya, Advocate for the respondent.

**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) Present appeal has been filed against the judgment dated 06.08.2015 passed by the Court of learned JMIC Gurdaspur, dismissing the complaint filed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 at the instance of the present appellant. Vide order dated 01.07.2019, the matter was referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court so as to explore the chances of amicable settlement between the parties.

Having gone through the case file, I find that the parties have entered into a settlement before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court by way of writing dated 20.09.2019 signed by the parties as well as the learned Mediator. A perusal of the aforesaid settlement shows that Rs.1,25,000/- already stands received by the appellant as full and final settlement and as such nothing survives in the present appeal. TEJWINDER SINGH 2023.01.17 12:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment P&H High Court, Chandigarh

Thus, in view of the settlement dated 20.09.2019, the present appeal is ordered to be rendered infructuous. Disposed of accordingly.
