Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards veracity of the averments/allegations made in the petition and while noticing that it is a case where the petitioners are having some dispute over property with the private respondents and that in fact both the parties are related inasmuch as petitioner No.1 happens to be brother of the respondent No.4, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the matter as regards the threat perception of the petitioners and to dispose of the representation (Annexure P-1) expeditiously in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is imminent threat to lives and liberty of the petitioner, then requisite steps as warranted under the law be taken thereupon at the earliest.
