MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to provide adequate security and protection to his life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's wife left the company of the petitioner of her own accord and ever since then, the private respondents, who are related to his wife have been harassing him on some pretext or the other including payment of some loans to various financial institutions. Learned counsel submits that since petitioner is unable to oblige them, the private respondents are threatening him with dire consequences. 3.

On a pointed query put to the learned counsel as to whether there is any matrimonial dispute/matrimonial litigation pending between the petitioner and his wife, she has categorically replied in the negative. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2 to look into his representation (Annexure P-1) and take appropriate steps so that the life and liberty of the petitioner can be protected at the hands of the private respondents. 5.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Rahul Mohan, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the State.

In view of the restricted prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, District Sirsa, to look into the representation dated 04.02.2025 (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if required, in accordance with law.
