The present petition has been filed inter alia praying for issuance of appropriate directions to the learned trial Court to expedite the proceedings in FIR No. 34 dated 06.02.2017 under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468, 471, 201, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 registered at Police Station Nissing, District Karnal (Annexure P-1). 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has argued that the challan was presented on 27.01.2021 and the copy was also supplied on 07.04.2021 to the accused, however, for the last almost three years, the charges have not been framed. Although learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that no specific time frame can be ordered, however, prays that appropriate directions be issued to expedite the trial.

In light of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the authorities not to seek any unnecessary adjournments and the trial Court shall make a positive endeavour to expedite the trial, in accordance with law.
